2026 Virginia Trappers Association Rendezvous

Mark your calendars for June 5-6, 2026! The Virginia Trappers Association is thrilled to invite you to our Rendezvous in beautiful Harrisonburg at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds. Get ready for a weekend packed with fun—there will be trapper training sessions, exciting trapping demonstrations, a variety of vendors, tailgating, mouthwatering food, and so much more. We can’t wait to see you there!

LOCATION:

Rockingham County Fairgrounds 4808 S Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22801

VTA District responsible for rendezvous task:

a.      District 1: VTA table sales, Raffles and Membership and Ice sales

b.     District 2: Tailgaters layout and handling arrivals

c.      District 3: Manning the Gate 0900-1700 both days

d.     District 4: Gather auction items and handle auction

e.      District 5: Building setup & Demo area setup

f.        District 6 & 7: Demo area announcements and shuttling  

g.      District 8: VTA Dinner setup on the 6th

Set up starts Jun 4th – 0900 until last vendor is setup.

Gate opens Jun 5th @ 0700-1700

Gate opens Jun 6th @ 0700-1700

Clean-up is set for Jun 7th @ 0800

$10 Adult admission & 16 and under free all weekend, Veterans are free.

Stay with us! 

Camping, $10 for tents for both days.

$50/night for RV’s hook ups

$20.00 RV if you’re not hooking up for Rendezvous

1300-1400 – Box Trapping Skunk (Jeff Rexrode) 

1400-1500 – Raccoon (Jr Simmons) 

1500-1700 – Bobcat Trapping (  ) 

1700-1900 – Dinner

June 6th

1000-1100 – Nest Predators (  )

1100-1200 – 

Board of Directors Meeting June 6th 11:00-1200

1200-1300 – Lunch Break

1500-1700 – Benefit Auction (VTA)

June 7th

0800-1200 – Clean-up Fairgrounds, all help is welcome and encouraged

Special Events:

+Board of Directors Meeting June 6th 11:00-1200

+Family Dinner: June 5th @ 5:00pm with a cost of $25.00 per plate. We will be selling tickets prior to dinner at the VTA Booth.

+Benefit Auction: Trappers are welcome to donate an item (s) to be sold at the benefit auction. All auction proceeds help defray expenses of the Virginia Trappers Association. Please bring your auction items on Friday or as early as Saturday morning. All are welcome to bid, need to register prior to a bidder’s number.
